This time around, Foldees, the organizer of the competition, is challenging designers to an exercise in simplicity. Foldees wants you to design a card around the theme, “Monochrome”. Arguments aside, Foldees defines Monochrome as only one colour (and black and white are not colours). What kinds of designs are they are looking for? Any kind! Although if you’re unsure, we’d probably prefer that you stick to staples like Birthdays, Flirty, Get Well, or Friendship cards.

Please keep in mind that Foldees will be keeping an extra sharp eye on not just design, but card themes that make use of the “Monochrome” theme. The official rule for now is that the cover must only be of one colour (not including black and white), but the inside of the card has no limitations, except the usual Foldees rule of strictly vector art only.

SOFIA DESIGN WEEK is the first of a kind design festival in Bulgaria. Between June 5th and June 12th Sofia will be transformed into a vibrant capital of design.
In its first issue, SOFIA DESIGN WEEK is welcoming some of the most avant-garde international names in the contemporary product, communication, interactive and graphic design. Sofia Design Weeks aims to place the city on the global map of design. Through discussions and experience exchange, it will also seek the next identity in our visual environment, one that is urgently needed.
