Geishas (芸者, Geisha) are traditional Japanese artist and entertainer, whose skills include various arts such as music, song and dance. The geisha were very common in the eighteenth and nineteenth century and still exist, although their number is gradually decreasing.
Despite this, geisha has become a figure much represented in the design. This figure in fact has the ability to unite itself in modernity and tradition of japanese culture, therefore, is a strong image when used in the right design context.
Among the entries we’ve been very impressed by those of Rubens Cantuni, with the design of a chubby and ironic geisha.
Good inspiration for your work tuwidesigners

Today we offer a collection of the best fragrances packaging. Develop the design of a precious fragrance bottle is a really interesting process. The bottle must represent in its design the perfume that contains. Its lines, geometric or soft, must recall the aroma of perfume. The approach of the designer will be obviously different if the scent is addressed to a woman or a man. In this gallery we collected only the women’s fragrances. soon we will see the difference with the scents targeted to men.

To be a good designer you must sometimes have a good nose:)

Drawing vs Designer

Do you think drawing is essential to be a great graphic designer?

logo sketches

The way design is actually executed seems to be a crucial point of this discussion.

Some of the designers can draw and some can’t. People use the skills they have and you can definitely make your way as a designer without strong drawing skills. Although this, if you have those skills it can give you extra flexibility, for example matching colors, drawing a sketch when an idea comes out, developing a concept that is in your mind but not on the paper…

Drawing is important but it can’t be the only thing needed to be a great designer.
Communication and design skills are foundamental as well and creativity and imagination surely can’t miss.
