Here is finally the first image of the new iPhone!
The wait was really great but in the end it has arrived and was presented a few minutes ago at Moscone Center in San Francisco .

The design is clearly the best apple style, much like the old iphone…

A great example of an object that has become really a cult.

A cult that has become such thanks to the excellent marketing decisions of the house of Cupertino, able to create great waiting around their products. Apple in this is really unique!
The new iPhone will be accompanied by the new 3.0 operating system with many innovations compared to the previous operating system. MMS, can buy or rent movies, tethering, the service find my iPhone, Tom Tom, so many new games and applications.

Today we have prepared for you an inspiration gallery from the world of TV Shows! The TV Shows we have selected are seen all around the world by millions of people every day.
The quality of the actors photographs, made by top photographers, is fantastic.
The logos are generally quite simple and not too elaborate, but are able to identify very good and strongly the tv show.

Here’s, as every week, the best flash websites gallery. Some of these sites have been awarded by FWA. Among the websites that we propose in this post we recommend you to take a look at the site Popsomp Hills website, a fictitious  rehabilitation center through which one can come into contact with the psychology of Eminem and understand more about his new album “Relapse “.
It is also very well developed and with a very fresh graphic the promotional website of Summerfestival 2009, one of the most important summer festivals in Belgium. Here Tuwidesign found out some great Photoshop tutorials about two really interesting categories: navigation menu, headers and contents boxes. With Photoshop you can reach fantastic results and so much more control than with Fireworks or Dreamweaver.

Task: Design a card using only black, white and maaaaybee one more colour.

Deadline: 11th June 2009

Prizes: First Prize,  1000 $

This time around, Foldees, the organizer of the competition, is challenging designers to an exercise in simplicity. Foldees wants you to design a card around the theme, “Monochrome”. Arguments aside, Foldees defines Monochrome as only one colour (and black and white are not colours). What kinds of designs are they are looking for? Any kind! Although if you’re unsure, we’d probably prefer that you stick to staples like Birthdays, Flirty, Get Well, or Friendship cards.

Please keep in mind that Foldees will be keeping an extra sharp eye on not just design, but card themes that make use of the “Monochrome” theme. The official rule for now is that the cover must only be of one colour (not including black and white), but the inside of the card has no limitations, except the usual Foldees rule of strictly vector art only.

Origins

The category of logos that we propose this week is that of head logos.
Some of the logos in this gallery have been found through creattica.com, a great looking website that you should visit, is an excellent source of inspiration!
The use of head logos certainly ensures a strong impact and high visibility for a client.
The vision of a logo with a face, that maybe look straight in our eyes is often a guarantee of success and attention from consumers. As often happens, however, this is a “weapon” that should be used very carefully and not randomly.
The ideal situation for a designer is when the client who commissions the logo has some special somatic features that distinguish him for sympathy and charisma. In such a situation, focus on the customer’s image, reproducing it in our logo is a winning choice. Consider for example the KFC logo! Success is more assured when our client is very ego centric. If you try to propose him an initial logo, a Typographic logo and a head logo  he will certainly choose the latter, and will thank you forever! We can therefore understand the importance of developing a brief  directly with our client, to understand not only what he wants, but also to analyze his personality, and, of course, his head:)

Part of the globe has now reached the summer. For all those designers interested not only to enjoy a good ice cream but also to appreciate a beautiful package, we have prepared this fresh collection.
The ice cream, like many other products, differs its image depending on the target to which it is addressed.
See eg the Gü Ice Cream and its beautiful packaging, designed as if it were to contain a truly valuable object.
This seems to be looks the direction that many companies are taking on the ice cream packaging design. The manufacturer of magnum, one of the largest world corporations in this field, has chosen for magnum a golden package which seems to remember the colors of the Veuve Clicquot champagne packaging, which we have analyzed here a little while ago on tuwidesign. Champagne and ice cream … a nice couple!
